About the job

Eilbeck Cranes is a 100% Australian owned company operating in Australia for over 118 years specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of all types of overhead cranes, hoists, winches and servicing company which has national operations. Eilbeck Cranes is seeking to employ an Electrical Engineering Technician, to join our team based in Sydney, NSW.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse the performance of assemblies and electrical components.
  • Assist engineers with electrical engineering research.
  • Design, install and maintain electrical control and systems.
  • Test, calibrate and repair electrical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose electrical system faults.
  • Prepare drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry.
  • Assist Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems and motor control systems.
  • Estimate materials costs and quantities of crane parts and electrical system upgrades when required.
  • Inspect crane designs and finished products for compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Test electrical equipment and installations to conform to regulations and safety requirements.
  • Undertake electrical workshop functions such as installing and ensuring work is performed within agreed times and to an acceptable standard, in compliance with Australian standards.
Qualifications
  • Engineering qualification
  • Previous experience with overhead cranes would be an advantage
Compensation

Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
