Overview

Electrical Maintenance Technician (Shift) role responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance on a baggage handling system incorporating automated storage cranes and specialised transport systems. This is a full-time on-site role with 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 roster located at Western Sydney International Airport. The technician will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting of all electrical systems and equipment, including conducting electrical maintenance inspections, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and components, and ensuring compliance with WHS standards.

Responsibilities
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance (electrical).
  • Fault finding on automated systems.
  • Using data analytics to enhance system performance.
  • Providing technical support to our customer.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Australian Trade qualification with Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical with at least 3 to 5 years post trade experience as a Service Technician
  • Strong electrical background working on industrial automated equipment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills (English).
Highly Regarded
  • Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical).
  • Experience in logistics, postal sorting and baggage handling systems highly regarded.
  • Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems)
  • Highly motivated with a keen interest to further your own ability and studies.
