**Freezer and Docks Manager Role**

The Freezer and Docks Manager is responsible for the efficient management of warehouse staff, resources, and equipment at our Wacol Distribution Centre.

This role aims to achieve the best possible customer outcome in terms of storage, picking, and packing of goods.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage raw material operations in and out of chiller/freezers, ensuring compliance with company rules, safety protocols, HACCP, DAWR regulations, Safe Food procedures, and processes.
  • Monitor stock and capacity levels within the chiller and freezer to optimize efficiency.
  • Identify data issues within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) affecting pick operations and report to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, reporting any damages or breakdowns promptly.
  • Control orders to prioritize tasks, collaborating closely with dispatch and production as needed.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of the dock, chiller, and freezer floor to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Promote a culture of excellence through regular area inspections and internal/external audits.
  • Supervise floor staff resources, discipline, absence management, and overtime requirements.
  • Complete end-of-shift reports and forward them to the relevant teams within agreed timeframes.
  • Evaluate all inventory discrepancies and credit claims thoroughly.
  • Foster a supportive environment by providing necessary training and support to team members.
About You:
  • Previous experience in similar roles within a multi-site FMCG environment.
  • Experience supervising complex warehouses or teams, particularly in cold environments.
  • An understanding of the transport industry, including relevant legislation and safety concerns.
  • Relevant Import and Export Accreditation is an advantage.
  • Strong abilities in managing transportation and distribution processes.
  • Proficient use of DC systems and MS Office Suite.
