Podiatrist - Chronic and Complex Home Visiting Service

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time | Position Classification: Podiatrist Level 1 / 2 | Remuneration: $37.03 - $52.83 per hour | Hours Per Week: 32 (Job Share may be considered for part time hours) | Location: Mt Druitt Community Health Centre, Blacktown Community Health Centre (and as required across the Western Sydney Local Health District)

Where you'll be working: The CAC Home Visiting Podiatrist is based at Blacktown and provides foot care to eligible clients in their place of residence across the WSLHD. There may be occasions when work occurs in community health centres located in Auburn, Blacktown, Castle Hill, Merrylands, Mount Druitt, and Parramatta. A WSLHD fleet car, laptop and mobile phone will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

Chronic and Complex (CAC) Allied Health services focus on restoring, improving, or maintaining older people's independent functioning and wellbeing. The CAC Podiatrist will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will provide assessment, intervention/treatment, and education for clients with foot health issues residing within the Western Sydney Local Health District. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments (including falls risk and pressure injury risk) and contributing to care plans to support community living.

Essential Criteria
  • Registration: General Podiatry Registration with AHPRA
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Podiatry
Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Podiatry and current general Podiatry Registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience and understanding of the needs of clients with chronic and complex health needs in a community context.
  • Experience in podiatry assessment, intervention and education.
  • Well developed written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Involvement in quality improvement, evidence-based practice and professional development activities.
  • Computer skills, including experience using CHOC Cerner eMR or equivalent.
  • Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
