About Our School Sophia College is a Catholic secondary school located in the Lockyer Valley, approximately 80 km west of Brisbane. The College opened in January 2021 and continues to grow. About The Opportunity

In this position you will be responsible for:

• Creating a nurturing and orderly learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
• Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes to students, parents and the community
• Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff to contribute to the professional life of the school and foster a positive school culture
• Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
• Establishing positive relationships in pastoral care and supporting students' spiritual and moral development
• Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching

• Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
• Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programs in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers

• A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
• For this position you are not required to be Catholic
