The ProjectConstruction is underway, with the Stage 2 project works including:
- The construction of a new clinical tower
- An intensive care unit
- Medical imaging services and nuclear medicine
- An in-center renal dialysis unit
- A new paediatric impatient unit
- Education and training facilities
- A new front of house and reception area
Stage 2 also included the upgrade and repurposing of some existing buildings on campus which were completed in early 2024. CPB Contractors successfully delivered Nepean Hospital's Stage 1 redevelopment and will utilise this experience to reduce any disruption to the health campus. Local training, employment and supplier opportunities will be maximised as CPB Contractors continue to deliver Stage 2 for the NSW government.
The OpportunityAs the Project Engineer you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of building works for the Nepean Hospital project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning and execution of daily site activities, ensuring alignment with the project's scope, schedule, and safety requirements.
- Providing the construction team with technical advice, including the interpretation of drawings, specifications, and design details.
- Monitoring and tracking project progress, maintaining accurate site records, and contributing to weekly progress reports and cost control.
- Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of works to the required quality and safety standards.
- Promoting and enforcing safety, environmental, and quality procedures in all on-site activities, in line with both project and regulatory requirements.
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Previous site-based experience on major building, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
- Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects is highly desirable, with an understanding of the complexity, safety protocols, and sensitivity required in healthcare environments.
