This internship opportunity at Cisco Meraki's Sydney, AUS office is a full-time role (40 hours/week) from October 28th, 2024 to June 27th, 2025. The role is designed for recent graduates or students nearing graduation, excluding those enrolled in Master's programs.

Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose and troubleshoot network-related issues reported by Cisco Meraki customers and partners, including wireless, security, switching, phone, and other various network issues.
  2. Take ownership of each networking issue, from initial creation to resolution.
  3. Collaborate with other Support team members to resolve network outages, misconfigurations, and complex networking issues for customers' devices.
  4. Analyze packet capture using Wireshark.
  5. Work with Engineering and Management teams to diagnose and resolve critical escalated issues.
  6. Leverage knowledge to suggest, edit, and write detailed Knowledge Base articles.
  7. Stay current on Meraki features and technology through lunch and learns, participation in Engineering and Product team communication, and keeping up with enterprise and cloud networking trends.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong understanding of fundamental networking protocols, including TCP, STP, ARP, Ethernet, OSPF, etc.
  2. Fundamental understanding and hands-on experience with network technologies including firewalls, content filters, routing/switching, VLANs, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless networks.
  3. Prior experience in a network lab environment through internships, work experience, or volunteer work is beneficial.
  4. Excellent English language written and verbal communication skills and comprehension.
  5. A collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn from others.
  6. Passionate about networking, IT, and helping others.
  7. Pursuing or hold a B.S. in Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
