Associate Director Economist

A leading advisory and management consulting firm, specializing in the early-stage development of infrastructure projects, is expanding its team in Sydney. They are seeking a highly skilled and driven Associate Director Economist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics, with experience in infrastructure projects, and a passion for delivering impactful outcomes. This role will involve leading economic analysis, developing business cases, and offering strategic advice to ensure the successful delivery of infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead economic analysis and modeling for infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and manage business cases, ensuring they are robust and impactful.
  • Provide strategic advice on economic aspects of project development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive project solutions.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and community groups.
  • Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in economic analysis, preferably in the infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing business cases for large-scale projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams.
