Novotel Surfers Paradise is located in the heart of Surfers Paradise, with excellent shopping, entertainment & nightlife areas nearby. The hotel features 408 rooms and dining options including The Restaurant, Blvd Cafe and Bar, pool bar and in-room dining. We offer a relaxed, family friendly environment with amenities such as a heated outdoor pool, tennis, basketball & netball courts, BBQ area, gym and kids' corner. For conferences and events we have 6 modern function rooms accommodating up to 500 delegates.

About the role
  • Full Time, Part Time OR Casual role available
  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through food preparation and dishwashing
  • Providing the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the Kitchen, including cutlery, crockery and commercial equipment
  • Recycling and removal of rubbish
  • Assisting Chefs with basic food preparation as required (e.g., peeling, chopping, portioning)
  • Unpacking, storing and organising food deliveries
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and food storage areas
  • Adhering to all sanitation and chemical use guidelines
  • Following HACCP hygiene, Food Safety and WHS requirements
Qualifications
  • You may have previous experience in a similar fast-paced environment; this is a very busy role
  • Great energy and a "Find the YES" positive attitude
  • Good time management skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to multi-task; flexible and adaptable to shift patterns
  • Professional, well-groomed appearance and pride in presentation
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
  • Experience in a similar role is ideal
  • Commercial Cookery student seeking practical experience is welcome
  • You hold valid working rights for Australia
