Overview

Team administrator- Paediatric Neurodisability Nursing

Band 3, Part Time - 23.25 per week. Please note this job is Term time only based in St Giles School working Monday-Friday, 26 hours per week across 5 days.

The Paediatric Neurodisability Nursing Team and Children's community nursing team provides co-ordination and case management of children with highly complex and unstable long-term conditions in partnership with health, education and social care organisations. The aim of the service is to provide a dedicated specialist children's nurse to promote standards of excellence and manage the clinical risk of complex, unstable and vulnerable children in the community within the context of family centered care thereby reducing the need for secondary care interventions.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside other service administrators to support administration to Paediatric Neurodisability and Community Children's nursing services, working flexibly to meet the diverse needs of the service across St Giles School and Lennard Road sites.
  • Provide full administrative support to the team, including processing documents and letters, and drafting letters and memos as appropriate.
  • Use computer software packages to process documents; access the internet and use email; use spreadsheets or databases to collate data for service management.
  • Maintain accurate diaries and an up-to-date filing system.
  • Order equipment and monitor/arrange servicing of equipment used by nursing staff.
  • Arrange appointments and book venues; screen incoming mail and refer to appropriate team members as needed.
  • Prepare agendas, take minutes, and type up minutes of meetings.
  • Run data reports from NHS systems such as EMIS.
