About the role

The Data Platforms Consumer Finance and Cash & Transactional Banking team is urgently seeking a highly skilled Service Owner to lead the Data Platforms Program Delivery. The role involves managing the delivery of complex programs, bridging key stakeholders and our Data Platforms' technical teams, and focusing on relationship building, driving change through technology and data solutions, resilience, and a can-do attitude. You will work daily with your agile team and business stakeholders to ensure delivery of business and customer value aligned with the overall strategy and project objectives. Experience in Banking is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data platform delivery on Azure, AWS, and/or GCP technologies with solid practical experience.
  • Understand and apply data governance and program governance in a large corporate setting.
  • Drive initiative with a proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage multiple scrum teams, programs, and initiatives in parallel with effective prioritisation across stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and coach teams to maximise value delivery.
  • Operate in an Agile environment, leading distributed teams with diverse styles and capabilities.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence; exposure to data technologies and the latest developments in data and AI.
The successful candidate

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Educate business stakeholders to translate strategy into an actionable, outcomes-based product roadmap.
  • End-to-end delivery ownership with clear roadmaps and tracking of success metrics.
  • Work within a scrum team to apply product vision and continuously deliver incremental customer value.
  • Translate business requirements into value-driven features and stories; monitor outcomes and health metrics.
  • Prioritise the product backlog to deliver maximum value aligned with product strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master to optimise team outputs and mentor team members.
  • Provide hands-on subject matter expertise in the Service Owner and Product Owner domain.
