TEAM Transport & Logistics was established in 1981 and have since grown steadily to become one of Queensland's largest privately owned transport and logistics companies. As a company, we are committed to providing an authentic approach to customer service and pride ourselves in our ability to understand the needs of our customer to provide a custom transport solution.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, professional TEAM member to join our Sales Division. As a Business Development Manager in our company, the majority of your week will be spent engaging with potential clients in the field. Time will also be dedicated to managing existing clients, identifying growth opportunities as well as sourcing your appointmentsthrough networking and contacting prospective clients.
To excel in this position, it is essential that you have the energy and drive to seek and actively foster relationships with prospective customers.
Team Transport and Logistics has been built on long-standing client relationships and providing an exceptional customer experience, and we seek a candidate that is equally enthusiastic about establishing and nurturing new relationships as we move forward.
Key functions of the Role
- Identification and conversion of new business and business growth opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with key contacts to generate opportunitiesfor business.
- Present effective proposals to prospective clients highlighting the value in our multi-faceted transport and logistics offerings.
- Develop and propose custom transport solutions to meet the needs of the customer and drive business growth.
- Account management of a large customer portfolio, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
- Fortnightly reporting to Sales Management
Key Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager or relevant role within the Transport and Logistics Industry.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account management of a large customer portfolio, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention
- Ability to develop business through networking and developing relationships.
- Proven track record of converting leads to sales.
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- MS office suite skills.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- You are a self-starter, with the ability to work autonomously.
- You are driven, self-motivated and passionate with a positive attitude.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Transport & Logistics industry.
