What is this role all about?

The role of HR Advisor is a diverse position where you will be responsible for the provision of HR advice and initial advisory service and support across both Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Senior HR BP AU/NZ and a part of the APAC HR Team you will have the opportunity to develop a true generalist competence in ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience.

Core responsibilities
  • Provide responsive sound advice to managers on a wide range of employee relation matters.
  • Lead investigations and assist with the resolution of human resources issues when they arise.
  • Facilitate cyclical business activities including employee performance reviews, award increases, culture surveys and workplace health and safety audits.
  • Support the implementation of the HR strategic plan and actively involved in those projects.
  • Coordinate and support the recruitment processes and activities.
  • Partner with operations managers to drive employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Review employment conditions to ensure compliance to internal and external requirements.
  • Ad hoc team support as needed.
  • Training and presenting within the operations teams as required.
What do we need from you?

This position will suit a candidate that enjoys a fast paced, diverse business and possesses the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Commerce or Business.
  • 4 years minimum experience in a HR position that demonstrates your ability to take the next step in your HR career.
  • Experienced understanding of the Fair Work Act (AU), Employee Relations Act (NZ) and applicable legislation that applies within the workplace.
  • Skilled at addressing employee matters pragmatically and professionally.
  • Skilled at influencing and building relationships of trust with key stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility with AU and NZ travel.
