Do you thrive in lively, people-filled environments where no two days look the same? We're on the lookout for an Event Operations Manager to run one of the Gold Coast's most loved weekly events. This role blends hands-on operations, leadership, and community connection - perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving on the go and seeing their work come to life every week.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Run the end-to-end event cycle - from set-up to pack down, making sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Lead and motivate a small onsite crew, setting the tone for a proactive, can-do culture.
  • Manage weekly vendor applications, allocations, and layouts to deliver a great event mix.
  • Act as the key contact for participants, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Deliver an excellent visitor experience that keeps the community coming back.
  • Support additional seasonal events and activations, helping with planning and onsite logistics.
  • Stay on top of weekly admin, reporting, schedules, and communications.

(Note: Event day is every Sunday and requires very early starts - approx. 3am, working a 10-hour shift.)

About You

You are someone who can roll up your sleeves and keep things moving, even when it gets busy. You are organised, people-focused, and know how to find solutions when challenges pop up.

We would love to hear from you if you bring:

  • 2+ years' experience in a supervisory or management role (events, hospitality, retail, or operations all ideal).
  • Strong people skills - clear communicator in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • A calm, problem-solving mindset under pressure.
  • Great organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and handle early starts.
