We're currently looking for a talented Freelance Graphic Designer to join our team at Pedestrian Group. This role will involve working on various brands including PEDESTRIAN.TV, Pedestrian Television, Open Air Cinema, and more The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong passion for digital design and a genuine interest in Pedestrian Group's brands.

As the Freelance Graphic Designer in this role, you will be required to conceptualise and create design materials for all the mentioned brands. This will involve working closely with the Head of Design and the Studio team.

Additionally, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate on live campaigns with clients, offering a diverse range of projects that will allow you to enhance and refine your skills.

Whether you are a mid-weight Graphic Designer or a junior professional looking to progress in your career, this position provides a platform to showcase your creativity and contribute to the visual identity of multiple well-known brands.

If you have a passion for digital design, a strong understanding of visual communication, and an interest in working with a diverse range of brands, this role could be an exciting opportunity for you.

What we're looking for:

  • An autonomous and creative problem solver
  • An agile operator and confident communicator
  • Commercial savviness to swiftly create dynamic pitch and presentation assets
  • Ability to conceptualise ideas and present them in new and interesting ways
  • A strong portfolio with an understanding of digital assets including web and display ad units
  • An eagerness to accept and develop as a result of constructive feedback
  • A confident communicator with aims to grow both their career path and our brands' presence in Australia
  • Minimum of 2-3 years industry experience

What we want to see:

  • Your online portfolio
  • Illustrations if you have them
  • Proven presentation and proposal design skills
  • Confidence of the design process from brief > concept > final delivery
  • An awareness of youth media and our brands
  • Understanding of basic web design principles

Skills:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) Figma and Google Slides
  • Great time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to follow art direction and feedback from clients and in-house management.
