Overview

ISS STOXX is growing We are looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to join our global team. As a reputable organisation, we take pride in producing a monthly magazine (Money) that provides valuable insights and expert content to our readers.

Money's Senior Graphic Designer is a full-time position based at our Sydney office. Your main focus will be managing all visual aspects and assets across the Money platform, including print, digital, podcasts, and social media, with daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the brand; source and create visuals that reflect our heritage and trusted relationship with our existing audience, ensuring assets are modern, timely, and relevant.
  • Create and commission graphic content for Money's print, digital, and multimedia platforms to elevate and reflect the brand tone, enhance stories, and improve the reader/subscriber/listener experience.
  • Prioritize projects to meet deadlines for print, newsletters, and podcasts.
  • Manage and mentor junior art department colleagues.
  • Manage freelance graphic contributors and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with the Rainmaker design team to ensure marketing assets reflect the editorial voice.
  • Design the monthly print magazine cover using InDesign in collaboration with the Managing Editor.
  • Support digital and multimedia teams with graphic needs and workflows.
  • Ensure accuracy of tables, values, and copy.
  • Source and work with images from story sources.
  • Create templates and support content producers.
  • Build motion graphics such as opens, lower thirds, and bumpers.
  • Innovate in presenting data visually.
  • Archive pages for future reference.
  • Upload digital files for the Money app.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in publishing/media or digital agency, including consumer print publications.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects), with image retouching skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital technologies, CMS, social, web, and video platforms.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, creativity, and solutions focus.
  • Interest in finance and consumer news.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (at least 3 days onsite per week).
