We are seeking a seasoned Speech and Language Pathologist eager to leverage your expertise in a dynamic consulting role. This is an opportunity to transition into a fulfilling position that extends beyond traditional therapy as a Speech and Language Consultant.

Spring Forward is a holistic early development centre dedicated to supporting and empowering children and families through early childhood. In Australia, 1 in 5 children start kindergarten developmentally vulnerable, and 1 in 10 parents lack confidence in their role as their child's first teacher. These statistics inspired us to create Spring Forward, where we bring together professionals from allied health to education to provide play-based early development services and comprehensive parent education and support.

The opportunity:

As a Speech and Language Consultant, you will advise clients on best practices for speech and language development, collaborate with educators, professionals, and parents, and design tailored early development plans. Your role will include strategic planning, training, and program development, supporting a holistic approach to language and communication services. You do not need to be registered as a therapist to apply; this role suits professionals with extensive knowledge and experience, regardless of registration status.

Duties and Responsibilities (done virtually via video conferencing):

• Conduct telehealth interviews and develop assessment plans for new clients.
• Assess, screen, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Oversee and create intervention plans for clients to implement at home, school, or in the centre with therapy assistants.
• Organize clients into groups and parent education seminars.
• Manage cases ensuring multidisciplinary team (MDT) collaboration on six-month early intervention plans.
• Secure client commitment, schedule appointments, and convert intakes into ongoing services.
• Run webinars and online seminars as needed.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Conduct telehealth parent consultations.
• Complete reports including home programs, progress, and assessments.
• Ensure high-quality, evidence-based, ethical care.
• Set goals, plan, and implement personalized intervention strategies.
• Develop goals with the multidisciplinary team.
• Manage weekly schedules to meet KPIs.
• Create plans for therapy assistants and home programs.
• Conduct parent education sessions.
• Contribute expertise to the multidisciplinary team and provide in-services.
• Administer clinical assessments.
• Promote early development and parent support services.
• Engage in weekly supervision and professional development.
• Create content and promote engagement on social platforms.

Minimum Education/Training Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology (not necessarily registered).
• Master's degree in speech therapy or speech-language pathology (not necessarily registered).
• Experience with specific disorders and age groups may be required.
• Understanding of speech-related disorders and treatments.

You must have:

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of relevant computer hardware and software.
• Stable internet, HD camera, and noise-cancelling headset.
