Join to apply for the Family Services Practitioner role at Uniting Vic.Tas.

Location: Broadmeadows, VIC. Status: Part-time, ongoing. Closing date: 2 October 2025.

Your new role

As a Family Services Practitioner, you will work with vulnerable children, young people and their families who are affected by disadvantage and at risk of involvement with the Child Protection system or already involved with child protection. You will manage and support a caseload of allocated families and help develop strategies to assist clients in meeting their goals.

Your skills and experience
  • Minimum tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or a related discipline
  • Driver's license valid in Victoria
  • Demonstrated experience working with disempowered and vulnerable people (3–5 years)
  • Knowledge of intervention strategies and frameworks related to children's developmental needs, parent skill development, diversity, drug and alcohol recovery, cycle of violence, crisis planning and family systems
  • Ability to manage a caseload of allocated families
  • Ability to develop and review strategies to help clients meet their goals
