Role Description

This is a full-time role for Lead and Principal Software Engineers based in Hawthorn, VIC, with some flexibility for remote work. The engineers will lead teams in software development, develop back-end web applications, program, and apply object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Architect and design scalable, secure, and performant solutions.
  • Contribute ideas on how to improve codebase, systems and ways of working.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to aid the development of the team.
  • Participate in solution design, development and testing activities.
  • Build the solution and present to stakeholders.
  • Maintain personal/professional development to meet changing role demands, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure delivery is met.
  • Upskill and pursue continuous learning for career and personal development.
  • Participate in networking, developer days, hackathons, etc.

About you

  • You are an experienced Principal, Lead or Senior Engineer with advanced programming skills in C#, .NET, SQL, TypeScript, React.
  • Expert understanding of advanced patterns and practices.
  • Ability to lead a team through technical guidance and mentoring.
  • Knowledge or prior experience with Security Processes / Applications (OWASP).
  • Ability to engage with various team members, with strong analytical, design and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, proactive team player with the ability to encourage and motivate the team.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts concisely and effectively.
  • Desire to increase knowledge and skills when circumstances require additional learning.
  • Thinking creatively with a broad, big-picture perspective.
