Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will lead end-to-end bid management, ensuring the preparation of high-quality, competitive submissions. Your ability to collaborate across multiple teams and develop strategic proposals will be instrumental in securing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to submission.
  2. Oversee the development of proposals, including financial forecasting, risk assessment, and resource allocation.
  3. Work closely with internal teams—HSE, Marketing, Sales, Operations, People & Culture, Finance, and Commercial—to align bids with company goals.
  4. Drive business growth by crafting compelling sole and unsolicited bid strategies.
  5. Foster strong relationships with external partners, clients, and industry bodies to support market expansion.
  6. Ensure all proposals adhere to compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks.
  7. Lead cross-functional teams to create data-driven, persuasive proposals that meet client needs.
  8. Continuously refine bid processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  9. Maintain a steadfast commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards.

About You

  1. Tertiary qualification with at least 10 years of experience in bid management, proposals, or a related role within construction, demolition, civil, or remediation industries.
  2. Expertise in business development, tendering, and strategic estimating.
  3. Proven track record of crafting and executing successful bid strategies.
  4. Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  5. Proficiency in bid management tools, software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Strong leadership abilities to coordinate cross-functional teams.
  7. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  8. Flexibility to travel as needed to support business development efforts.
