We are seeking a professional, personable and detailed-oriented accountant to join our practice. With a strong reputation in the Eastern suburbs of Adelaide, our services are in high demand and we require assistance at an intermediate/senior accountant level.

Salary range

Requirements for the role

Bachelor degree in in Commerce / Accounting
Completed, or studying towards, CA / CPA
At least 2 years experience in a public practice in tax and business services
A thorough understanding and hands-on experience with income tax, CGT and GST
Proficient with accounting packages including MYOB and Xero and Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Job specification

Most of our clients are small businesses or families seeking assistance with tax compliance and practical accounting and tax advice. We offer a 'hands on' service with a focus on personalised service, efficient turnaround times and sound, timely advice.

Primary tasks and responsibilities of an intermediate/senior accountant will include:

Preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns and BAS for a wide range of clients.
Completing work in a timely and efficient manner using our practice's well-established and well-designed workpapers.
Meeting targets based around delivery of completed work.
Communicating with our team members, while working with and reporting to our senior accountants and partners.
Interacting with clients, responding to issues in a practical way, providing our clients with a positive experience.
Working within our tight-knit practice to help our team and bringing a positive attitude to our workplace.

You will be best suited to the role if you:

Have a strong work ethic, attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
