The RoleSplunk is going through a period of exciting growth across Australia and New Zealand. We are growing our Canberra team and have an opportunity for a successful Sales Person to join in our success. We are looking for someone with a passion for, and track record of success in selling industry leading security and observability solutions to Federal Government in Canberra. You'll possess a measurable track record in building, managing, and delivering outstanding sales results with government departments and state owned corporations.
Responsibilities- Working with a named list of accounts (ideally experience in Defence/Intelligence) in the Canberra market, responsible for both new business acquisition and developing existing business with expansion opportunities.
- As a successful Account Manager, consistently deliver on forward-thinking license, support and service revenue quotas, quarterly and yearly; commit to achieving and surpassing targets.
- Engage with Cloud initiatives and partner with the customer on their digital journey.
- Partner closely with the Partner team, working in harmony with partners and distributors.
- Collaborate with different Splunkers to maximize account penetration, performing account planning and opportunity management.
- Report regularly on pipeline and forecasts with your Manager and APAC sales operations (monthly and quarterly).
- Lead pricing and business terms across the assigned territory by selling value and engaging with Splunk business areas.
- Leverage sales engineering and professional services teams, in-house and partner services, to position Splunk's offering effectively.
- Considerable software selling experience in a B2B environment within the Canberra market.
- Strong background in running and developing a high-activity account portfolio, ideally across Federal Government.
- Confident in building relationships and selling at the C-Suite level.
- Sound understanding of forecasting commitments and forecast accuracy.
- Outstanding time management, interpersonal, written and presentation skills.
- You will currently reside in Canberra and have a strong network and track record of success with Federal Government.
