Babcock is looking for a Radio Technician to join the Technical Operations team based in Devonport, Auckland.
About the roleJoin a dynamic team on the Devonport Naval Base where your expertise in radio and electronic systems will directly support New Zealand's defence capabilities. This full-time, permanent role offers hands-on work with cutting-edge military and commercial communication technologies. Benefits- $52-$56ph – experience dependent
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- 1.5x paid after 40 hours
- 2x paid after 43 hours.
You are a skilled electronics technician with hands-on experience in radio communications, fault diagnostics, and component-level repairs. You thrive in team environments, take pride in delivering high-quality work, and communicate technical insights clearly. You're safety-conscious, adaptable, and eager to contribute to national defence. With a relevant qualification and a current Electrical Service Technician licence, you're ready to take on complex systems and support mission-critical operations. Key Required Skills- Fault diagnosis to component level
- Installation and testing of radio systems

- National Certificate of Engineering (Level 4) in Electronics or equivalent
- Electrical Service Technician Practicing Licence (minimum)
- HF Radio systems training and experience
