Employment Type: Full Time – 38 hours per week

Pay: Up to $36.53 per hour + Superannuation + Benefits

• As a Goodstart Educator, you'll become a vital part of our team, working alongside Senior Educators and our Educational Leader to craft and enhance exceptional learning programs for children.

About Goodstart Point Vernon

Located in the beautiful beachside community of Hervey Bay, our centre in Point Vernon sits on Butchulla land, and we acknowledge the Elders past, present, and emerging. We are a 65-place centre with five rooms, catering to children from six weeks to Kindergarten age. We take pride in offering a flexible rotating roster that operates on a six-week rotation, providing a variety of shifts throughout the week. Rosters are shared at least two weeks in advance, allowing Educators to plan appointments and other responsibilities around work hours. We can also accommodate permanent parent/family engagements. Our centre is open from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.

As a leadership team, we highly value Educator recognition, hosting fantastic staff Christmas parties and child-focused events, such as graduations and Christmas celebrations. Our centre boasts a cozy, home-like atmosphere with three playgrounds and is conveniently located near shops, schools, and a medical centre next door. With approximately 200 years of combined experience among our Educators, about 80% of our team holds or is working towards a Diploma qualification or higher. We take great pride in providing a positive experience for both children and families.

You'll Need

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check
