Overview

Join to apply for the Safety Manager role at Linfox.

This role can be based at our sites either in West Melbourne, VIC or Regency Park, South Australia. You will work closely with multiple sites and customers across Australia, shaping and growing our safety culture with a focus on care, trust and inclusion. This role suits an energetic and innovative leader with multi-site experience embedding a risk-based approach to keep people safe physically and mentally.

Working Monday to Friday with on-call requirements as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders and customers to develop and execute business and site safety plans
  • Embed a risk-based approach with a focus on everyday, critical and psycho-social risks
  • Coach and mentor leaders through site visits, facilitated training and workshops
  • Develop and maintain systems with a focus on risk, health, compliance and customer expectations
  • Manage serious incident investigations and regulatory notifications/interventions
  • Measure and report on performance, trends and outcomes
Are you the one?
  • Hands-on role coaching, influencing, mentoring and providing specialist workplace health and safety advice to workers and leaders
  • Ability to work in an open, collaborative and inclusive manner
  • Leadership experience in safety, health and well-being
  • Deep understanding of risks unique to the transport, warehousing and logistics industry
  • Commitment to personal development through formal education or other training programs
  • Experience facilitating workshops and leading incident investigations
  • Working knowledge of work health and safety legislation
  • Ability to develop and present results, plans and updates to leadership teams and customers
