Join Bridge Knowledge to Drive Business, People, and Growth

Development & Building Operations Manager - Structural & Civil Engineers

Lead and Grow in a High-Impact Regional Role

If you're a seasoned civil engineer with a passion for both technical delivery and business leadership — and you're ready to take charge of a team and drive meaningful growth in one of the most beautiful, relaxed, and opportunity-rich regions of Australia — this might be your next big step.

This role is more than just management. It's a chance to shape the direction of a growing division, influence business strategy, and be part of a leadership team genuinely focused on growth, integrity, and people.

If you have the industry experience coupled with the practical business and team management knowledge to bring value to this future-focused business in the region, read on.

About the Business

Bridge Knowledge is a proudly regional multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices in Grafton, Lismore, and Coffs Harbour. With a clear mission to be the leading civil engineering consultancy in regional NSW by 2030, Bridge Knowledge is growing rapidly — and doing so with heart.

Bridge Knowledge has recently won the Employer of Choice Award in the 2025 Clarence Valley Business Awards and have also been nominated in the 2025 Lismore Business Awards. These recognitions reflect the company's commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and rewarding workplace for its team.

This role sits within the Development & Building business unit — the part of the business responsible for engineering design across housing, subdivisions, commercial buildings, and infrastructure (excluding bridges and major roads). This unit is projected to grow significantly in the coming years, and we're looking for someone to lead that expansion from the front.

This is a team of capable, down-to-earth professionals who take pride in doing great work, building long-term client relationships, and growing sustainably. The business is owner-operated, values-led, and committed to building a positive workplace culture.

About You

You're a qualified and experienced civil engineer who understands the ins and outs of land development and building infrastructure — and the Australian standards and council requirements that come with it.

You've led teams, managed projects, and delivered results. But what really drives you is growth — growing businesses, growing people, and growing your own influence. You want to step into a role where you can truly shape how things are done and leave a lasting impact.

You're confident, strategic, and commercially savvy — but you also roll up your sleeves, communicate clearly, and lead by example. You bring a growth mindset and a desire to elevate a team and business into its next chapter.

Your New Role

This is a critical leadership role within Bridge Knowledge — responsible for overseeing the Development & Building business unit. You'll lead and manage a high-performing technical team, deliver projects, ensure quality, drive business development, and contribute to business-wide strategy.

You'll work closely with the General Manager and play a key part in shaping the growth and direction of the business.

The salary package for this role ranges from $160,000 to $180,000 plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
