We are seeking talented and enthusiastic professionals looking to complete their specialty training while working in a senior role, supporting Registrars and Resident Medical Officers. This position is best suited for a level 5 or 6 trainee.

This accredited senior registrar position offers excellent experience in tertiary level antenatal and intrapartum care, including ultrasound and labour ward management. The training in the general gynaecology unit will enable the successful applicant to consolidate surgical skills, including laparoscopic surgery, prior to entering specialist practice.

This is a unique opportunity for the successful applicant to acquire all the skills necessary to enter specialist practice upon completion of this appointment.

Salary
$134,930 - $189,005 per annum

Salary is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022.

Period of Employment
Fixed term, full-time, 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours protected training time (pro-rata), commencing 2 February 2026 until 1 February 2027.

Essential Requirements

  • General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as required by the position).

All registration/licenses required for this role must remain current and valid at all times during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to maintain these and notify the employer of any changes, including criminal convictions or revocations.

Highly Desirable

  • Successful completion of RANZCOG examination.

The nominated candidate must satisfy a pre-employment check, including conviction checks for violence, sex offences, drug offences, dishonesty, identification, and disciplinary actions in previous employment.
