Senior HR Business Partner

Proclinical is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our client, a global Biopharmaceutical leader renowned for its innovation and commitment to improving quality of life through life-saving therapies. Operating across manufacturing, commercial, R&D, and enabling functions, this is a unique opportunity to support business transformation initiatives that impact the APAC region.

Based primarily at their Broadmeadows site, with occasional work at Tullamarine and Melbourne CBD and possible 1 day/week from home, this role partners with senior leaders to drive strategic HR solutions that align with our client's global HR objectives during a period of significant change and transformation.

Role Overview

Reporting to the HRBP Agile Lead, the Senior HR Business Partner will support leaders across Manufacturing, Operations, Enabling Functions, Commercial, and R&D across APAC. This role will design and deliver people-focused solutions including change and transformation programs, talent management, engagement, and culture initiatives. You will act as a trusted advisor and coach to senior leaders, deploying global programs while also tailoring initiatives to meet local business needs.

Team Size: 14 people

Duration: 12-month contract

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Mon to Fri standard business hours (some late calls may be required)

Capacity: Primarily onsite; 1 day work from home possible.

Location: Most days will likely be at Broadmeadows, then Tullamarine, then Melbourne. Person will need to be flexible to work across sites.

WHV: No – full work rights required for the full 12-month duration

Potential to Extend: Yes, but not guaranteed

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver HR operational plans aligned with key HR stakeholders and business objectives
  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders to influence and support workforce strategy
  • Provide strategic HR advice with senior leaders and people managers as a trusted advisor on

  • Drive the implementation of global and local people initiatives
  • Lead and/or support transformation and change programs
  • Enable managers to interpret and act on employee engagement survey results
  • Manage annual HR cycles: performance reviews, promotions, compensation reviews, and talent discussions
  • Use data analytics to identify people trends and provide actionable insights
  • Support coaching and development across various client groups

Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years HR experience in a business partnering or consulting capacity within a large, dynamic global organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • Organisational Design
  • Change Management
  • Talent & Development
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence complex business transformations
  • Strong consulting skills and business acumen
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related discipline (required)
  • English language proficiency; additional language in APAC region is an advantage
  • Solution-oriented with strong resilience, adaptability, and stakeholder management skills
