We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer with a strong system administration background in Windows, Linux and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong automation skills using technologies such as Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Python, PowerShell and Bash, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud technologies or similar.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and automate ICT systems.
  • Design, build, and implement DevSecOps services and pipelines.
  • Implement security controls in accordance with guidelines such as the Australian Government ISM.
  • Author build guides and procedures and gain approval.
  • Build and maintain Defence cloud environments.
  • Build and maintain networks infrastructure and services in cloud environments.
  • Provide technical support and services as required.
  • Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Scripting languages and automation tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, Python and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • The development of Standard Operating Environments (SOEs).
  • Network infrastructure and services including: Identify and Access Management (IDAM), Logging and monitoring, Backup and recovery, Host and network-based firewalls, Reverse and forward proxies, OS patching and hardening, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Performance optimisation.
  • Microsoft Azure cloud environments or similar.
  • DevSecOps and agile practices.
  • Cyber security practices.
  • Testing and quality assurance.
  • Producing and maintaining high quality technical documentation.
  • NV1 clearance or higher is mandatory.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • NV1 clearance or higher is mandatory.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux system administration.
  • Strong automation skills with Ansible, Terraform, Bicep, Python, PowerShell and Bash.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies.
  • Ability to design, build, and operate DevSecOps services and pipelines.
  • Experience with security control implementation per government guidelines.
  • Ability to author and maintain documentation and build guides.
