Location: Nowra Community Corrections, South District, Corrective Services NSW

Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 (A$99,938–A$110,270) per annum, plus superannuation and leave loading

Position Type: Talent Pool Creation for ongoing and temporary full-time roles and part-time roles (flexible working hours)

Training: Paid training with a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice

As a Community Corrections Officer, you will join a dedicated and dynamic team focused on offender rehabilitation and enhancing community safety. You will collaborate with individuals under supervision to develop and implement rehabilitative strategies, monitor progress toward goals, and conduct home visits to ensure compliance with conditions. You will benefit from a supportive work environment and opportunities to engage in staff activities, while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Community Corrections Officers are trained to case manage people subject to community-based orders, including Parole Orders, Intensive Corrections Orders, and Community Corrections Orders. At Nowra, Officers also work with people in custody to prepare them for reintegration into the community upon their release on parole. This role offers extensive training opportunities and pathways for career advancement. Note: Successful candidates will be required to complete a mandatory four-week, in-person, paid training program at Brush Farm Academy as a key component of the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice curriculum.
