Job Title: Retail Events Manager

Role Overview

You will be responsible for leading Fanatics International Retail and Event operations in Australia for the AFL, NRL, NZR, UFC and future events including NFL and RWC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing team, including retail operations staff and on-the-ground team members.
  • Event execution including bump in and set up, event management, and pack down.
  • Oversee retail event operations with focus on inventory management, staffing, visual merchandising, and customer service.
  • Assist in implementing operational strategies to maximise efficiency, productivity, and profitability across retail partner functions.
  • Execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets and drive business growth across retail stores.
  • Manage stock preparation and planning, including pre- and post-event activities, and oversee 3PL replenishment and processes.
  • Lead department sustainability strategy and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Buying and Merchandising to develop a best-in-class product strategy across licensed and Fanatics product.
  • Coordinate with supporting contractors to deliver on budget and on time.
  • Drive KPIs including conversion and average order value (AOV).
  • Ensure fans feel immersed in the right holder's experience and maximise sales through effective onsite team management.
  • Deliver first-class visual merchandising in-store and consistently during events.
  • This is a hands-on role with opportunities to participate in physical build pre- and post-event.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Ability to travel to multiple retail and event venues; driving license and car required.
  • Experience working in major sporting events and on-site retail programs.
  • Confident, bold, humble, well-presented, and team-first attitude.
  • Live and breathe the values and culture with the ability to grow and develop them.
  • Merchandising and layout experience.
  • Project management and store openings desirable.
  • Willingness to travel interstate for prolonged periods, including weekends.
  • Builds and sustains excellent relationships with external promoters, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Confident yet measured in providing feedback to colleagues and senior leadership.
  • Creates effective routines and processes that deliver consistency across operations and units, engaging colleagues throughout the process.
