Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer (Relocate to Tasmania) at SAGE Automation, A Tetra Tech Company. Relocation to Tasmania with our assistance. As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will lead a small team to successfully deliver complex engineering solutions within requirements, schedule and budget in your area(s) of expertise. You will prepare and deliver electrical designs to meet project requirements, specifications, budgets and timeframes, and provide mentoring and leadership to your team. Depending on the project, you may also lead extended teams to achieve non-technical project outcomes, and you will be accountable for the team's performance in achieving schedule, quality and budget targets.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team to deliver complex electrical engineering solutions across concurrent projects.
  • Liaise with clients to develop and refine scopes of work as needed.
  • Mentor and lead team members; may lead extended teams to achieve project outcomes.
  • Ensure deliverables meet requirements, schedules and budgets; take accountability for team performance.
  • Prepare and produce electrical designs to meet project requirements, specifications, budgets and timeframes, reporting to Principal Engineer or Project Manager.
Qualifications
  • Ideally based in Launceston with unrestricted Australian Work Rights.
  • Electrical Engineering degree with five or more years of proven experience in automation, Defence, energy, utilities or manufacturing sectors.
  • Eligibility for state-based engineering registration in Electrical Engineering.
  • Verifiable knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
