Southern NSW Local Health District covers a large area of the southern half of NSW. We have 18 facilities and our hospitals take care of more than 200,000 people. What You'll Be Doing

The Senior Surgical Booking Clerk manages the elective surgery waitlist in line with the Ministry of Health Waiting Time and Elective Surgery Policy.

Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience in managing front line administrative services with capacity to guide and mentor staff and build a cohesive team.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain collaborative relationships with a diverse range of health professionals and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated comprehensive and proven accurate data entry skills with experience in Microsoft Office Applications, databases and ICT infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational skills, exercising confidentiality and sensitivity, with the ability to exercise initiative and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high-level analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills with the ability to make decisions and create solutions that ensure continuity of service provision.
  • Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to drive/travel as required. May involve driving long distances.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination

This is a Category 'B' position. All new employees must comply with NSW Health policy directives and vaccination requirements, including proof of influenza vaccination for certain facilities.
