An exciting and highly rewarding opportunity for an experienced Nurse with strong managerial and leadership qualities to join our team Permanent full-time opportunity for the right candidate.

The Opportunity

Oversee the planning, implementing and evaluating of practices, processes and services within our Rehabilitation Ward, Level 4.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Services, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will supervise, lead, direct and motivate staff to achieve outcomes with the ability to manage financial and human resources. You will effectively manage roster processes and allocate duties for all clinical staff. Driven by the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, you will oversee and implement quality initiatives with unit.

About You

You hold the ability to inspire, motivate and mentor your team. You will be a leader with a passion for seeing your team members succeed and grow while bringing a passion for a high level of client care and service.

You will also demonstrate:

• Current registration with AHPRA.
• Minimum five (5) years' post graduate nursing experience.
• Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering and performance management.
• Previous experience as a senior nurse or manager will be highly regarded.
• Strong leadership skills and confident with delegating duties.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  
  

Remuneration

A base hourly rate from $65.84 - $71.24 + superannuation, based on experience and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD NUM/MUM level 1 – 4).

The Hospital

John Flynn Private Hospital is a 354 bed, acute care hospital located at Tugun, which is on the southern end of the Gold Coast, within 5 minutes from the Gold Coast Airport. The hospital provides services to the population of the Gold Coast and the Tweed Coast extending into the NSW Northern Rivers area.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
