
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Be part of a dynamic and supportive group of skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, where professional development is actively encouraged. In this role, you will provide services to NDIS participants of all ages with guidance and collaboration from a dedicated multidisciplinary team. Based in Hobart, you'll enjoy a flexible working model that includes in-home visits, clinic-based sessions, and outreach across the local community.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Building strong relationships with participants and stakeholders
- Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs)
- Creating and implementing effective Behaviour Support Plans
- Educating and training carers and support teams
- Reviewing and reducing restrictive practices in line with NDIS guidelines
- Monitoring outcomes through regular data collection
About You
- You hold a relevant bachelor's degree (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Counselling, Social, Disability, Teaching or Social Sciences)
- Endorsed as 'Proficient' or above against the PBS Capability Framework (evidence of letter of suitability from the NDIS Commission also required)
- You have full Australian working rights
- You have prior experience in community, private or acute settings.
- You have access to your own vehicle and hold a current driver's licence
- You have or are willing to obtain a NDIS Workers Check and Working with children check.
