The Role
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Senior Accountant for Crown Melbourne. Our finance team has restructured to modernize processes and workflows. This role involves leading financial reporting activities with a focus on innovation and efficiency, offering ideas to improve our operations.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing accurate and reliable reports throughout the month, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, invoicing, and regular reporting, updating forecasts and budgets as directed.
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations, investigating variances, and making necessary corrections.
- Managing the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely journal postings, and reviewing P&L statements in line with the schedule.
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly results against budgets, collaborating with finance partners.
- Overseeing stock counts when required, investigating variances, and performing spot checks to ensure accuracy.
About You
We seek an experienced accountant with exposure to complex organizations, passionate about process improvements, and capable of engaging stakeholders. You should have:
- A relevant Business Accounting degree or similar qualification.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification.
- Project management experience (advantageous).
- Extensive practical and technical accounting experience.
- Proficiency with financial reporting software and automation tools.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
