The Role - Strategic Account Executive - NSW

The Strategic Account Executive - NSW is responsible for creating business growth by building strong relationships with customer stakeholders, understanding their business drivers, and selling Hitachi Vantara solutions. The role requires a deep understanding of our product, service, and solution portfolio to address customer needs and build long-term trusted partnerships. The role may involve direct or indirect sales, utilizing various go-to-market partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with sales support teams to implement sales and account planning strategies that accelerate growth and deliver optimal solutions.
  • Understand customer business drivers, industry trends, and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights and tailored solutions.
  • Maintain relationships throughout the sales cycle, ensuring objectives are met and developing future opportunities.
  • Balance short-term and long-term growth, proactively pursue new and existing accounts, and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain internal and external partnerships, stay current with our solutions, and industry trends.
  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline, monitor progress, and develop strategies to address gaps.
  • Update and maintain all account information and activity in CRM tools.
  • Support broader team initiatives, including customer success stories and marketing events.
Performance Measures
  • Achieves sales quota and profitability targets.
  • Maintains forecast accuracy.
  • Meets strategic customer objectives.
  • Completes training and development objectives on time.
Profile
  • Business or related degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of strategic B2B sales experience, preferably in software and solutions in complex environments.
  • Proven track record in exceeding US$5M annual quotas.
  • Strong business acumen, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with partner and alliance sales.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable at senior management levels.
  • Ability to work with virtual teams and uphold company values.
