The Value Management Office (VMO) exists to infuse all interactions and engagements toward the fulfillment of the customers' strategic business needs with joint ownership of their long‑term success.
As a Sr. Value Advisor for the VMO you will shape and deliver strategic value engagements with customers. You will define the value proposition of Atlassian solutions for customers, drive innovation, and set the standard for craft excellence and customer‑centricity across the organization. This is a highly influential individual contributor role focused on driving customer success.
Responsibilities- Customer Focus & Relationship Building: Engage with senior customer executives to understand customer organizations, business processes, and strategic objectives; build influential relationships with key decision‑makers; work with the Atlassian team to create tailored solutions that provide value and competitive advantage.
- Financial Acumen & Advanced Value Articulation: Analyze complex financial data to uncover strategic trends and drive high‑impact decisions; craft comprehensive business cases for varied scenarios and elevate analytical quality.
- Critical Thinking & Solution Innovation: Support the value framework across the organization to power customer interactions at scale; synthesize diverse viewpoints to develop holistic, innovative solutions; navigate ambiguity to uncover root causes and opportunities.
- Executive Storytelling & Communication: Craft high‑impact presentations and executive narratives to guide customer decision‑making and align senior leadership.
- Driving Innovation at Scale: Lead the development of VMO strategy and solutions; foster an environment that encourages idea sharing and innovation.
- Collaboration, Influence & Organizational Impact: Build relationships across Atlassian to ensure the VMO achieves key objectives and drives customer success.
- Knowledge Sharing & Thought Leadership: Drive collection, synthesis, and redistribution of critical insights; enable field teams on Value Based selling; coach teams toward collaboration and development.
- Developing Self & Others: Set standards for continuous learning and communicate VMO performance to stakeholders.
- Travel: Travel up to 15-20% as required for customer meetings within your territory.
- Must Haves: 5+ years in value consulting, management/strategy consulting, quantitative analysis, with exposure to cloud technologies and digital transformation; proven track record in leading cross‑functional engagements across multiple industries; exceptional communication, presentation, and content development skills; mastery in financial modeling, business case development, and value articulation at the executive level; demonstrated ability to build and operate a value management practice.
- Nice to Haves: Familiarity with Atlassian's solutions; experience with workflow/service/collaboration tools; prior value practice experience; entrepreneurial experience; relevant regional language coverage (APAC: e.g., Japanese, Korean, Mandarin); relevant industry experience (Financial Services, Software/Tech, Government and Public Entities, etc.).
