Business Overview

ISPT's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) function stands as a testament to the organisation's commitment to responsible and sustainable business practices. This function is at the forefront of ISPT's efforts to integrate and embed ESG principles into its full business operations. The team is responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies, setting ambitious ESG performance targets and overseeing initiatives that reduce ISPT's environmental footprint while enhancing social responsibility across the organisation and portfolio. Key areas of focus for the ESG team include climate change, resource efficiency, social impact initiatives, and ethical labour standards to deliver not only financial returns but also positive social and environmental outcomes.

The Role

The Sustainability Coordinator will be responsible for:

• supporting the implementation of ISPT's Sustainability strategy across the real estate asset class, including monitoring progress and contributing to the preparation of reporting and disclosure obligations
• working with internal and external stakeholders to help build awareness to improve sustainability performance across the strategic areas of Climate Action, Circular Economy and Social Impact
• contributing to a diverse range of internal and external projects that support and enhance ISPT's sustainability performance and cultural approach to sustainability across its operations

Key duties will include:

• Maintain a strong working relationship with the ISPT Sustainability team and provide input into the on-going sustainability strategy planning and execution
• Contribute to the development of strategic insights, including research and analysis of emerging trends and sustainability issues
• Support compliance reporting including NGERS, GRESB and UNPRI, as well as investor reporting
• Support the annual asset rating process for NABERS, Green Star Performance and the Cleaning Accountability Framework (CAF)
• Support the implementation of agreed sustainability initiatives, including activities associated with the ISPT Social Procurement Plan, Embodied Carbon Strategy, Nature Action Plan and Circular Economy Action Plan

Your Background and Experience

• Tertiary qualification in engineering/environmental science/building/property related degree
• An understanding of sustainability in the real estate context
• Experience in the property industry within a similar corporate environment
• Experience with sustainability related reporting frameworks, such as GRESB, PRI, NGER
• Experience with NABERS and Green Star Performance rating framework
• Ability to handle, prioritise and deliver on multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and establish priorities to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to integrate quickly within a flexible team-oriented environment
