About The Role
As Plant Manager of our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), you will be responsible for setting, agreeing, and delivering the annual site plan aligned to the business's strategy. You will have overall responsibility for leading the site team and delivering the key elements of this plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation of Re.Group's health, safety and compliance standards and policies
- Ensuring site compliance, safety standards and processes are implemented and met on site, including the appropriate audit processes
- Ensuring that the individual site plan has clear and measurable KPI's defined to underpin the delivery of the annual plan
- Roll out the agreed framework to manage / drive operational efficiency and optimisation across the site
- Ensure quality metrics delivered are in line with budget
- Ensure defined framework for managing / reporting day to day operational issues is in place and effective
- Deliver fixed and variable costs in line with agreed budget
- Maintain plant capacity model and use to set performance/efficiency targets for operational performance management
- Work with the Regional Manager and Project Engineering team to design and deliver process improvements / investments to achieve the required product quality / volumes and costs
- Work with the Regional Manager to ensure that the capability to support volume growth and new business operations is in place as required
- Implement the agreed continuous improvement framework and culture across the site
- Work with site supervisors / team leaders to build a high capability team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, performance management and skill development processes are in place and applied
About You
- Experience in leading a team within a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience managing employee performance
- Previous experience managing a budget / P&L
