Data Scientist

Hybrid | Charlotte, NC

Rate: $45 - $55 w-2

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Data Scientist to work on a 6-month + contract position in Charlotte, NC. This position is hybrid, onsite four days a week, and candidates must be local to the metro area.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W-2 basis. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401 (k) with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and customization of the new AI tool.
• Clean, aggregate, and analyze large data sets to ensure successful integration.
• Utilize statistical modeling and machine learning algorithms to refine AI processes and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand project requirements and provide analytical support.
• Present findings and insights to stakeholders, adapting communication to diverse audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.

Requirements:

• 2-3 + years of IT experience in data-related disciplines
• Highly proficient in SQL.
• Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI tool implementation.
• Ability to handle large data sets and extract actionable insights.
• Strong command of statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex ideas clearly to stakeholders.
• Ability to work a hybrid work schedule with four days on-site and one day remote in a typical office environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with analytical and statistical software such as SAS or Alteryx.
• History of using a data science toolkit such as Python or R.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining the pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available, and that may result in pay outside of the range provided.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
