Townsville Hospital and Health Service is seeking a passionate psychologist to join the Burdekin Community Mental Health Service. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a regional setting while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of North Queensland.
You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering expert mental health and alcohol and drug interventions to individuals and families across the lifespan. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive, community-focused environment with strong professional development pathways.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive intake, assessment, care planning, intervention, and group work services.
- Deliver evidence-based mental health and ATODS interventions across the lifespan.
- Collaborate with other service providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in crisis management and intervention as required.
- Contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives.
- Attractive salary: $3030.00 to $4453.50 p.f. (HP3)

- Tertiary qualification in Psychology and registration with AHPRA
- Current Class C driver's licence
- This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role – Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis
- Pre-employment checks including criminal history clearance
- Experience in rural or remote mental health settings is highly regarded
