About the role:
Based in Darwin and working closely with the Logistics Manager, the LPG Cylinder Delivery Driver/Terminal Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of LPG to our valued Domestic, Commercial and Industrial, Agricultural and Autogas customers. Your role will be critical in ensuring a high level of Customer Service and safety while adhering to industry standards. With a focus on safety and OH&S compliance, you will ensure that Origin is meeting needs of our customers across the region. We're invested in further developing your career through providing training and up-skilling; with a view to progressing into positions with higher levels of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate LPG tankers for the delivery of LPG and/or cylinder exchanges.
- Actively participate in safety initiatives, including HSE meetings, incident reporting, and audits.
- Achieve scheduled delivery targets while participating in improvement initiatives for delivery efficiency.
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle operation by regularly inspecting tankers, checking tire pressures, and minimizing operator-related vehicle accidents.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs with respect and courtesy.
What will you bring?
- A current valid Heavy Rigid (HR) Class Licence (Essential)
- Experience in a similar Delivery Driver role ideally with LPG or a similar industry
- Strong commitment to safety culture with a safety-first mind set
- Strong physical fitness and ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including repetitive lifting of 25kgs and manoeuvring cylinders weighing up to 85 kgs (trolleys will be provided)
- Strong communication skills and a proven track record in customer service focused delivery roles
