This role is based at our National Office in Mulgrave and reports to the Inventory & Forecast Manager.

The forecast analyst ensures demand forecast integrity and accuracy is maintained, interpreting, translating and validating the outputs of the demand planning team. Take an independent approach of reviewing the demand forecasts and provide exception-based feedback to merchandise, demand planners and inventory managers to make sure forecast accuracy targets are met.

Responsibilities
  • Working closely with our Merchandise Planning team to optimise inventory levels and achieve financial KPI's of sales, margin and stockturn.
  • Support the business through improved forecasts and accurate reporting where you present key insights to stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Own the merchandise relationship, drive enhancements in forecast accuracy and ensure continuous improvement throughout the planning function.
  • Ensure clear action plans and mitigation strategies are generated through utilization of demand planning reports.
  • Build key inputs and strategies for the Demand TIR (Total Inventory Review) which supports execution of the Merchandise Product Strategy.
  • Build and nurture relationships with all key stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Qualification in Data Analysis, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Inventory, Supply Chain and Logistics or related experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Experience within retail, wholesale or manufacturing.
  • Effective and concise communication skills.
  • Ability to present analysis and insights to stakeholders/clients.
  • Excellent communication skills and empathy in dealing with technical and non-technical customers.
