The Opportunity

KBR is seeking an experienced Cost Assurance Analyst to join our dynamic Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance integrated work package in support of exciting defence projects for the Commonwealth of Australia.

As a Cost Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for undertaking qualitative and quantitative cost assurance activities across both pre-approved and approved cost modelling activities against a range of projects/programs to support BAU reporting and Gate approaches.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake cost assurance activities across a range of functions
  • Synthesise information and extract strategic level briefing knowledge from qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Prepare executive governance briefings in accordance with Defence policies and procedures
  • Lead or coordinate monthly governance and reporting
  • Identify and implement mitigation strategies to manage risks, issues, and opportunities relating to governance of programmatic objectives
  • Other relevant tasks as required relating to program delivery of capability acquisition and sustainment
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or a minimum of 8 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience in a CASG/Defence/Defence Industry environment
  • Previous experience with Defence governance and assurance platforms (PPRIP, MRM)
  • Strong understanding of Defence systems (financial, budget, capability requirements deliver plans)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
