Remuneration: Level C from $155,403; Level D from $185,917 plus 17% super.

Why Your Role Matters

These appointments at academic levels C and D will strengthen the school's teaching, research, and industry engagement capacity. The successful candidates are expected to be leaders in their field, demonstrating excellence in teaching, research, industry engagement, and academic administration including program and course development, management and delivery, student wellbeing, quality assurance, high-impact research output, competitive grants, and community engagement. The position reports to the Head of Canberra School of Professional Studies. Appointees will bring scholarly and/or industry expertise from disciplines such as Business, Social Sciences, Law, Governance, Public Policy, Ethics, and other human-centered domains of Cyber Security. We are seeking academics who operate at the intersections of Management, Governance, Policy, Ethics, Risk, Crisis Leadership, Business Continuity, Leadership and Cyber Security.

Who You Are (Skills and Experience)Senior Lecturer (Level C)

• A PhD in a related discipline with relevant teaching and course development experience.
• Evidence of currency within the discipline through research output, professional development or industry experience.
• Evidence of research output through high-impact publications in the field.
• Demonstrated ability to attract external competitive research funding.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Experience leading the implementation and/or use of educational technologies including online delivery platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with industry or work-integrated learning practices.
• Ability to advance and lead an inclusive culture of excellence in research, learning and teaching.
• Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement.

Associate Professor (Level D)

In addition to Level C skills and experience:

• Leadership in building collegiality and engagement within and outside the organisation.
• Strong community engagement through partnerships with industries, government, or other organisations.
• Contribution to the profession or discipline through academic society roles, governance, editing, refereeing, or evaluating research.
• National and international competitive grant success and leadership.
• Academic administration and staff management or mentoring.
• High-impact research output through publications relative to opportunity.
• HDR supervision.
• Educational leadership through program management and success.
