It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for a Cert III qualified person with at least 6 months experience in a similar role, to join the Silverchain team in the Bowral area.

- Award rate $42.28 per hour + Super + Paid KM's

Responsibilities
- General housekeeping and making beds
- Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Washing, folding and ironing laundry
- Meal preparation and grocery shopping
- Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities
- Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things

- Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
- Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
- Don't sweat the small stuff. Sometimes your client will be having a bad day or traffic delays you, but you know not to take this personally and can shake it off before your next client.
- Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.
Requirements
- An Open class Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
- Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability
- Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
Role Responsibilities
In the role of Home Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services, such as general housekeeping, meals and social support as listed above.
