Overview

Exciting things are happening at Catholic Healthcare. We are celebrating 30 years of providing care and we now have 5000+ employees. We are looking for passionate and caring individuals to help older people live at home independently for as long as possible. You will be travelling around your local suburbs and surrounding areas with availability during weekdays 8am-5pm (preferably 3 minimum days).

Location & Employment Type
  • Location: Hunter region – Lake Macquarie (Morisset/Toronto), Maitland, Newcastle
  • Permanent Part-time and casual roles available
  • Not-for-profit employer, with tax benefits
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • General household tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, ironing, cleaning the bathroom & kitchen, changing beds and washing
  • Transport to appointments and shopping
  • Meal preparation
  • Social support or respite for family/carers
  • Personal care including assistance with showering and dressing (if qualified/fully trained)
To Be Successful In This Role
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
  • Good communication skills
  • A reliable team player
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Australian driver\'s licence and access to a reliable insured motor vehicle (essential)
  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
