What you\'ll be doing

In this role you'll be supporting individuals with brain injuries and their families through social work services in a multidisciplinary team, working across home, community and centre-based settings.

• Providing psychosocial assessment and counselling

• Collaborating with allied health professionals

• Liaising with external care providers

• Maintaining clinical records and reporting

• Supervising students and contributing to service planning

Essential Criteria:

• Registration: Eligibility for full practicing membership of the Australia Association of Social Work (AASW)

Selection Criteria:

• Demonstrated advanced knowledge, skills and experience in social work assessment and intervention, within a specialist rehabilitation or mental health (recovery) setting.

• Demonstrated understanding of community based brain injury rehabilitation.

• Experience working in strengths-based practice, as well as family and person centred approaches.

• Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

• Demonstrated well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.

• Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels.

• Ability to initiate, lead, complete and implement quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.

• Current Unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence
