Your next career opportunity
As the Executive Officer (Animal Ethics), you'll lead a small team to ensure efficient and compliant operations of Animal Ethics Committees. You'll provide expert advice on policy, governance, and regulatory matters, while designing and delivering end-to-end processes for animal ethics applications. This role offers you the opportunity to develop key stakeholder relationships and contribute to the university's research ethics landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:- Lead Animal Ethics Administration: Manage a team to deliver robust processes for animal ethics applications and submissions.
- Provide Expert Advice: Offer high-quality guidance on policy, governance, and regulatory compliance to researchers and committees.
- Develop and Coach Team Members: Foster a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement within your team.
- Build Strategic Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and key stakeholders in the Animal Care and Use Program.
You are an experienced leader with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, possessing strong policy interpretation skills and the ability to manage complex, sensitive issues in a university or research environment.
You may also:- Have demonstrated leadership experience in fostering positive team environments.
- Possess excellent policy and regulation interpretation skills.
- Excel in documenting and delivering efficient administrative processes.
- Have outstanding relationship management and communication abilities.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
